Introduction
My passion for nutrition and naturopathy began long before I entered clinical practice. Growing up in an Italian family, food was at the heart of everything. While living overseas, I became increasingly curious about where our food comes from, how it’s produced, and the impact it has on our energy, mood and overall health. That curiosity evolved into a career dedicated to helping people feel their best through evidence-informed nutrition and natural medicine.
Background & Journey
Before studying nutrition, I trained and worked as an actor, where long rehearsal days and performances taught me firsthand how profoundly nutrition influences energy, resilience and performance. I went on to complete a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine before returning to study Naturopathy, driven by a desire to incorporate herbal medicine into my practice and better support patients with more complex health concerns.
Coming from a family of medical doctors has shaped my approach. I have a deep respect for science and evidence-based healthcare, and I believe patients achieve the best outcomes when conventional medicine and naturopathy work together. This is one of the reasons why I’m thrilled to be part of the Remede team.
Philosophy & Approach to Care
Nutrition, sleep, movement, stress management and sustainable lifestyle habits are at the centre of my approach, forming the basis of every treatment plan.
I utilise functional testing alongside standard bloodwork to provide comprehensive insight into my patient’s state of health and use this to guide treatment. Testing I often utilise includes comprehensive microbiome analysis, hair tissue mineral analysis and DUTCH hormone testing, when indicated.
Above all, I aim to meet patients where they are. I work with them to develop goals that are realistic, achievable and evidence-based.
Special Interests
While I enjoy supporting a wide range of health concerns, I have a particular passion for women’s health across every stage of life. I especially enjoy working with teenagers and young adults as they navigate hormonal changes, as well as women approaching perimenopause and menopause.
My areas of particular interest include:
- Gut health and digestive disorders
- Women’s health and hormonal conditions
- Menstrual concerns and PMS
- Fertility and preconception care
- Thyroid health
- Autoimmune conditions
- Stress, burnout and nervous system health
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Health Science (Nutritional Medicine)
- Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy)
- Certified Microba Practitioner with additional training in gut microbiome analysis
- Member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA)
I continue to undertake professional development to ensure my practice reflects current research and evidence while remaining practical and patient-centred.
Outside the Clinic
Unsurprisingly, I’m usually in the kitchen. My perfect Sunday is spent shopping for ingredients and cooking a big lunch, exactly like Nonna would.
I took up weight training a few years ago and love it. Getting stronger has been one of the better things I’ve done for myself.
Otherwise I’m very happy at home with my cat Chilli, a cup of tea and a jigsaw puzzle.
