Liver Function Test
A liver function test (LFT) is a blood test that tests for liver enzymes and proteins. It is a useful test to determine if there is a problem with the way your liver is working or if you have any liver damage from a liver disease.
The early signs of liver disease are often very mild, so a liver function test is a useful test to be able to
ascertain if you are experiencing liver problems.
While a LFT shows liver damage, a more specialised test can test for how your liver is actually functioning. This functional medicine test, called a Functional Liver Detoxification Profile (FLDP) is extremely helpful to assess if the liver is processing toxins effectively, breaking down hormones and to assess its overall function.
