clinical massage therapy
We believe that a great massage should be part of everyone’s “wellness plan” – to keep our bodies maintained in top shape and to prevent musculoskeletal problems from occurring. However, most people will wait until they are in pain before they have a massage, or give themselves an occasional “treat”. Research shows that regular massage helps to maintain muscle tone and integrity, improves posture, increases lymphatic flow, improves immune function, relieves stress and improves your sense of well-being.
Remède’s highly qualified clinical massage therapists use specific therapeutic massage techniques to address muscle soreness and pain, improve circulation, increase the range-of-motion in joints, improve muscle tone and increase flexibility. Regular therapeutic massage also improves your overall well-being and can help to alleviate stress and anxiety as a result of the release of natural endorphins and the reduction in stress hormones during massage treatments.
our clinical massage therapists can help you
Why put up with muscle pain and stiffness for weeks, months or years on end? Our clinical massage therapist can help to understand, assess and treat the underlying problems that are causing your tension headaches, neck and back pain, shoulder problems, hip pain and other areas of stiffness and discomfort.
Using specialised muscle testing techniques, your clinical massage therapist will identify the cause of your muscle and/or joint problems before working on your specific areas of concern, using a wide range of clinically effective remedial massage techniques. After your treatment, your therapist will also provide you with advice on how you can assist to speed up the healing process. For persistent or long-standing issues, weekly treatments are usually recommended for 3-4 weeks, to allow change to occur and for treatment to be effective. our therapists are experienced in a range of clinically effective massage techniques
At Remède, our therapists hold the highest qualifications in massage, a Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy, which means that they are experienced in thoroughly assessing your concerns and then using the right form of therapy for your condition – which might include deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, reflexology and sports massage. They will also advise you on specific exercises, stretches or postural changes that you can make to improve your musculoskeletal health and prevent long-term issues.
Your therapist is qualified and experienced in the following forms of massage:
Deep tissue massage relieves muscular tension, improves range of motion, removes stagnation from injured areas and alleviates pain.
Sports massage addresses specific injuries and problem areas and helps to reduce pain and restore function to injured areas. This type of massage is especially helpful for athletes, who want to maintain peak performance.
Relaxation Massage allows you to experience deep and restful relaxation, stress release, improved metabolism, improved sleep and an improved sense of wellness and vitality.
Lymphatic Massage improves lymphatic flow and increases drainage from the lymph nodes, which can improve immune function, increase circulation, reduce fluid retention and oedema.
Reflexology Massage concentrates on specific reflex points on the feet, which correspond to our internal organs and whole body function. Specific massage techniques that stimulate these points can improve the wellbeing of your whole body and is a wonderful preventative treatment to keep you well.
Pregnancy Massage can help to nurture and support the mother during pregnancy. Pregnant women often suffer from neck, shoulder, back and hip pain due to hormonal changes and the increased physical load. Pregnancy massage helps to alleviate tension and pain, relieves headaches, fluid retention, leg cramps, insomnia, fatigue and stress. Our therapist uses specially designed belly-pillows to ensure your comfort during treatment.
